Mick Harker, Chairman of Uckfield Heritage, has an encyclopediac knowledge of the history of the town. His previous talks have given the audience insights into buildings and open ground in the town of which they had no idea. This talk, with the intriguing title of 'Things beginning with 'P'' looks at trades and industry in 19th Century Uckfield, and some of the characters who developed the town.
