People's Emergency Briefing

Cumnor House Sussex is hosting a People’s Emergency Briefing for parents and the local Sussex community on the implications of climate and nature breakdown for the UK’s health, food systems, national security and economy. The People’s Emergency Briefing film features leading UK experts to help communities understand the reality of climate change, build public discussion about it, and increase support needed for a government-led briefing, broadcast live on this vital topic.

We are delighted that Lieutenant General Richard Nugee, who previously led the Ministry of Defence’s assessment of the implications of climate change for UK national security, will attend the event and lead the discussion after the film.

We need to understand the facts about climate change and its consequences, so we can prepare children to manage it during their lives. As this record-breaking summer showed, we are already experiencing the effects of climate change.

The evening will give us the facts and start a discussion. It will not be political. We trust you will find it interesting and hope you can join us for this important event.
