It was in 1968 that 5 local forces were brought together to form what we now know as Sussex Police. In that year, Mike Rumble signed on as a cadet, staying with the force for 32 years.
In this illustrated talk, Mike will look at the history of the force as well as some of the more notable crimes investigated over the years, including the murder of a Chief Constable and the gruesome contents of a luggage trunk found at Brighton Station in 1934 as well as looking at the advances in transport, communications and forensic detection.
