Organised by ROSA, The Arts & Culture Magazine for Sussex, in partnership with West Dean college, the first Sussex Craft Week launches 14-22 June 2025. The festival features events across the region and sets out to present Sussex as both the heart of the contemporary craft scene and the home of the heritage craft revival.
Sussex Craft Week presents a dynamic programme of exhibitions, craft courses, demonstrations, open studios and tours for visitors to discover the huge talent for making in Sussex. Spotlighting shows at leading Sussex arts venues including Towner Gallery, Hastings Contemporary, Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft and De La Warr pavilion, and platforming makers across Sussex at special events, Sussex Craft Week networks communities across the county.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn heritage craft techniques, such as willow weaving, trug making and stone carving, and the chance to meet a variety of makers in their studios, who will be selling their pieces and demonstrating their craft practices.
An interactive map for navigating the festival is available online at sussexcraftweek.com and a full festival guide will be published in the printed summer issue of ROSA Magazine, available at rosamagazine.co.uk
