The Great Global Greyhound walk on Ashdown Forest

The Great Global Greyhound Walk is an annual event celebrating sighthounds and raising awareness of the wonderful pets they make. Now in its 16th year, walks take place across 46 countries. Last year, an incredible 16,562 sighthounds took part in 659 walks worldwide!

We'll be joined by behaviourist Pennie Clayton, who has many years of experience helping sighthounds and their owners. Pennie is also a trustee and patron of Project Galgo.

Walk rules
We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable, so please follow these simple rules:
- Keep all dogs on a short lead or long line at all times. Please do not bring extendable leads.
- Please don't allow your dog to approach another dog without the owner's consent.
- Please bring a muzzle if you think your dog may need one.
- Please pick up after your dog. Dog waste can spread serious infections to people and other animals, affect the Forest's soils and spoil the surroundings for everyone. Please carry enough bags and take all waste home with you.

While we'll do all we can to make you and your dog feel comfortable, please remember that Ashdown Forest is open to everyone. We may encounter off-lead dogs, wildlife and horses along the way.
