Two people were treated and discharged at the scene following a minor vehicle collision off the A259 near Hooe earlier today, 16 September 2026
Incident Details
- Location: The collision happened shortly before 7:45 am on Green Lane, near the Hooe turn-off.
- Vehicles Involved: Initial traffic alerts indicated a rolled-over car, though local motorists suggested a vehicle may have swerved and clipped an oncoming van.
- Injuries: Ambulance crews and critical care paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) attended the scene. Two patients were assessed and treated but did not require hospitalisation and were discharged on-site. Sussex Police confirmed the incident resulted in only minor injuries.
Traffic Impact
The incident caused severe traffic delays and two-mile queues in both directions. The main disruptions affected motorists travelling between the Pevensey Roundabout and Little Common Road (Bexhill).
