Accident investigations cause huge morning delays on A27

The morning rush hour was a nightmare for many motorists today (1st October)

Accident investigators were on the scene after an accident occurred just before 11pm on Tuesday evening.

A car caught fire after an accident crash near the Wilmington crossroads.

East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said they sent two appliances and put out a fire in one of the vehicles involved.

The road was closed between Drusillas roundabout and Polegate crossroads while police carried out an investigation, but reopened just after midday today.
