AFC Uckfield Town partners with University of Brighton

AFC Uckfield Town and the University of Brighton have launched a brand-new student placement partnership to give university learners real-world industry experience within a live football club environment.

Announced in July 2026, the collaboration embeds students directly across the club's coaching, performance analysis, media, and medical departments for the upcoming season.

Key Details of the Partnership

Participating Courses: The program pulls from various degree pathways including Sport Coaching, Sport and Exercise Science, Strength and Conditioning, and Sports Journalism.
Performance Analysis: Supported by AFC Uckfield Town's Head of Analytics, Shaun Lee, students will film live matches, gather team and opposition data, and build comprehensive performance reports.
Fitness & Medical: Strength and conditioning students will work under the guidance of the club's head of physiotherapy to assist with player physical preparation and recovery sessions.
Media & Operations: Students will take on roles writing match reports and generating social media content throughout the season.
