In football now, Lewes fell to a 3-0 defeat against promotion hopefuls Chichester City, with The Rooks remaining in 13th place despite the defeat.
Elsewhere, Crowborough Athletic’s 3-0 loss away against Hassocks saw the home side confirm their remarkable season as Southern Combinations Premier champions, with The Crows remaining in second, fourth points ahead of Haywards Heath in third, but still have a chance for glory this season, as they now look to face Eastbourne United in the RUR Cup Final on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, AFC Uckfield Town were defeated 2-1 by Mile Oak, as Rotherfield lost 2-0 against the Crawley Devils, while Ridgewood were unlucky as they narrowly lost against table topping Crowhurst 2-1.
