Eastbourne Borough responded to a heavy defeat last time out with an empathic 6-0 win over Hampton & Richmond Borough, with Pemi Aderoju scoring four goals alone, as Tommy Widdrington’s side secure their first league win at home this season. 

 

Elsewhere, Lewes came away with a point from their entertaining 3-3 clash with Hashtag United, while a brace from Jack Lyons ensured Crowborough Athletic completed their comeback to draw 2-2 with an inform Broardbridge Heath. 

 

In the Southern Combinations League, AFC Uckfield Town’s struggles continued after a heavy 8-0 loss to Saltdean United, as Jarvis Brook were unable to complete their comeback against Mile Oak, losing 3-2.

 

Over to the Mid Sussex Leagues, and the weekend’s bad weather saw six different games called off due to the weather, while Ridgewood secured a 2-0 victory against Ringmer AFC 3rd’s and move into second, while Hartfield fell to a 2-0 loss to Southwick.

 

 

Now in women’s football, Lewes suffered a late defeat at the Dripping Pan, losing 1-0 to Oxford United.

 

Finally in the men’s rugby, Crowborough secured a 26-20 victory over Gillingham Anchorians, while Heathfield & Waldron defeated Beccehamian 32-27 to now find themselves in fifth, as Uckfield lost 26-14 to Worthing 3rd’s
