Elsewhere, Lewes fell to a 3-0 defeat versus Billericay Town, as Crowborough Athletic saw their tie with Sittingbourne called off, while Jarvis Brook secured an impressive 2-1 win over second place Worthing United.
In the Mid Sussex Leagues, Barcombe lost 2-0 to Ringmer AFC 3rd’s, while Ridgewood drew 2-2 with top of the table Seaford Town 2nd’s.
Lastly in the men’s, Maresfield Village lost 3-2 at home to The View, while a strong second half performance saw Hartfield beat AFC Varndeanians 3rd’s 3-0.
Over to women’s football, Lewes drew 1-1 with Exeter City, with The Rooks debutant Ruby Seaby securing the equaliser early into the second half, before the referee called an early end to the match after a serious injury suffered by Exeter City captain Bow Jackson.
Finally in men’s rugby, Heathfield & Waldron fell to a tight 12-11 defeat at home to second in the league Sevenoaks 2nd’s, with the loss meaning Heathfield remain third in the standings.
