Elsewhere, Ridgewood exited the Mid Sussex Junior Challenge Cup after being beaten by Balcombe 2nd’s 2-0, while Nutley saw their run in the Malins Cup ended by Crawley & Maidenpower Panthers on penalties.
Lastly in the mens, Newick drew 0-0 with Portslade Athletic, while Maresfield Village left with a point in their 1-1 clash with Welcroft Park Rangers 2nd’s, as Plumpton Athletic secured a 2-1 win in their fixture with Hartfield.
While in women's football, Lewes put in a commanding performance to comfortably beat Billericay Town 8-0, with a hatrrick from Lois Roche seeing The Rooks remain fifth in the standings.
Finally in the men’s rugby, Crowborough earned a convincing 43-17 victory against Beccehamian, as Heathfield & Waldron secured a 39-27 win versus Cranbrook to move into third, while Uckfield fell to a 29-17 loss to East Grinstead 2nd’s.
