Pensioners within Wealden are invited to a Benefits Day on 31st August 2022 to receive help and support with applications and funding.
The event will be hosted at the council offices’ reception in Vicarage Lane between 9am -5pm. Pre-booking is required, and each person will have an officer on-hand to discuss and help make an application for the following schemes, where relevant. Wealden District Council are providing this day to help pension-aged residents claim what they are eligible for. Councillor Neil Waller, Wealden’s portfolio holder for benefits, said, “It is important that we give support to pensioners where needed.”
“I am pleased that we are putting on this event to help a community of people that without the additional support could be left not receiving the help and benefits they are entitled to.”
Residents can go online to https://www.wealden.gov.uk/ and click on ‘benefits’ to check their eligibility, or call the benefits team on 01323 443500
