Crowborough care home celebrates the grand opening of the Ashdown Room

The Ashdown Room was officially opened at the High Broom Care Home in Crowborough.

The room is an elegant new dining space designed for residents to enjoy meals, celebrations, and companionship.

• Name Origin: Residents of the home collaboratively chose the name "The Ashdown Room" to honour their proximity to the nearby Ashdown Forest, a location that holds many cherished memories for them.
• Grand Opening Event: The grand opening was a special event attended by residents, families, and staff members, with local Councillor Whittle also present to share an afternoon tea. Resident Mr Derek Page was given the honour of cutting the red ribbon to officially inaugurate the room.
• Purpose: The space aims to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for communal dining and social gatherings, enhancing the community spirit within the care home.
