Crowborough Town Council invites the community to celebrate the Olympian, Matt Weston’s outstanding achievements and his connection to Crowborough with an award ceremony presenting him with the Freedom of the Town.
Crowborough Town Council is organising a special civic event celebrating the awarding of the Freedom of the Town to Olympic Champion Matt Weston, who spent his early years in Crowborough.
This outdoor event aims to celebrate Matt Weston’s outstanding achievements and his connection to our local community. It will be a proud and memorable occasion for the town.
The ceremony will be attended by distinguished guests including the Lord Lieutenant, the Mayor of Crowborough, community leaders, councillors, and representatives from across our community.
The formal presentation will take place on stage, with dignitaries seated nearby. Members of the public will be gathered on the grass within the running track, and we warmly encourage attendees to bring blankets or picnic rugs to sit comfortably and enjoy the event.
