It was hosted by Wealden MP Nus Ghani
Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, was pleased to host a hugely successful Google Digital Garage event in Crowborough, which helped over 30 local businesses boost their digital skills and grow their presence online.
Google Digital Garage is Google’s multi-million-pound investment in free digital skills training for adults in the UK. Over the last five years, the programme has trained over one million small businesses and individuals, providing free digital skills training in person and online across more than 500 cities, towns and villages.
Crowborough was the latest destination for this whole-day in-person training programme of workshops from Google’s coaches, with over 30 Wealden entrepreneurs from all across the constituency taking part in interactive mentoring sessions to help with digital marketing strategies and building their brand online.
Nusrat Ghani said: “I was delighted to have secured this exciting opportunity for Wealden and welcome Google to Crowborough as part of their Google Digital Garage tour. The event was a huge success, and it was fantastic to see so many local businesses getting involved. It is important that small businesses in Wealden have access to the necessary support as they continue to adjust to an increasingly digital world and it was great to hear first-hand from them about how these free training sessions will improve their online presence, expand customer outreach, and help them thrive.”
