Eastbourne tennis tournament attracts nearly 50,000 fans

The Lexus Eastbourne Open officially attracted nearly 50,000 spectators across its latest tournament week at Devonshire Park.

Organizers hailed it as a record-breaking "standout week," with both Centre Court and Court One selling out on a daily basis.

  • On-Court Victories: American star Madison Keys claimed her third career Eastbourne title, while Belgium's Zizou Bergs secured his very first ATP trophy. 
  • Local British Success: Home favorites Toby Samuel and Jack Draper both reached the semi-finals, propelling Samuel to a career-high world ranking of No. 123. 
  • Massive Digital Reach: Beyond the physical stands, the event drew 3.2 million BBC viewers (an 18% year-on-year increase) and accumulated 38 million social media views. 
  • Town-Wide Expansion: The event successfully extended beyond the courts into the local community via free fan zones and a newly launched Eastbourne Tennis History Trail.
