Eastbourne will be celebrating the Easter holidays with a range of eggs-cellent events on offer, including a free Easter Sunday concert on the Wish Tower Slopes.
Performed by Eastbourne Silver Band, the free concert is a tradition dating back many years for the delight of residents and holiday makers staying in Eastbourne over the Easter weekend.
The musical highlight which ranges from brass band classics to modern day hits is being held on the Wish Tower Slopes this year on Easter Sunday from 3pm - 4pm, while the Bandstand prepares to reopen for the summer season on 1 May.
Eastbourne Borough Council’s Lead Member for Tourism & Place, Cllr Jenny Williams said, “There is so much to see and do in and around Eastbourne this Easter, from themed trails and Easter egg hunts to live music and theatre – and of course, Eastbourne Silver Band is always a spectacular highlight.
“What better way to celebrate after your Easter Sunday lunch than a delicious ice cream on the seafront accompanied by live music from some of the town’s most talented musicians.”
Eastbourne will be offering lots of spring-time fun this Easter including the Easter EGGSpress which rolls into Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway on Easter Sunday with sweet treats from the Easter Bunny.
The Sky Club observation wheel makes a big return, open daily from 28 March to 12 April on the Eastern Seafront. The wheel will operate daily throughout all school holidays, and weekends during term time (Friday to Sunday) until 6 September.
At nearby Knockhatch Adventure Park, the Big Top is back from 28 March to 6 April with Blackbeard’s Pirate Adventure circus show, and Sharnfold Farm will be launching their new Barnyard Burrows play zone, as well as a Big Bunny Hunt and Easter-themed trail throughout the holidays.
Treasure Island will host a breakfast with the Easter Bunny on 2 April, and at Drusillas Park, families can enjoy a ‘Kids for a Quid’ entry discount and an in-app Easter Egg Trail in search of giant eggs hidden amongst the many animals.
For the ultimate Easter Sunday family lunch, the Lansdowne hotel is offering a carvery meal at half price for children under 12, complete with an Easter Egg hunt around the hotel. For grown-ups, The View is offering the perfect way to celebrate Easter Saturday with friends over an Easter Bottomless Brunch in the stylish Artisan Restaurant.
At Eastbourne Theatres a range of family entertainment is on offer over the holidays including Diversity – Soul 2026, K-Pop All Stars Tribute, Girlypop Live, and The Dinosaur That Pooped: A Rock Show, or for grown-ups the line-up includes a Silent Disco, I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical, Queen by Candlelight and The Talented Mr Ripley.
On 28 March Towner Eastbourne will reveal the gallery’s latest exhibition Poppy Jones Frozen Sun – her first institutional solo exhibition in the UK – with free entry until 31 May, and the Farmer’s Market returns to the outdoor plaza with lots of tasty produce and crafty creations on Saturday 4 April.
