Plans to convert part of a former Santander bank building in Crowborough into apartments have been approved.
Wealden District Council confirmed that the change of use for the upper floors of the building at 4 High Street can go ahead under permitted development rights.

- Residential Conversion: The building's first and second floors will be converted into two flats.
- Commercial Ground Floor: The street-level ground floor will remain active as a commercial unit.
- Planning Decision: Although Crowborough Town Council urged the district council to refuse permission, planning officers determined there were no adverse impacts to warrant withholding prior approval.
- Parking Arrangements: East Sussex Highways noted that parking provisions would be adequately managed through specific development conditions.
