Advance warning: Grazing livestock are coming back to the Forest on Tuesday 7th May 2024
We have been informed that the Commoner's livestock will be returning to the South Chase enclosure on 7th May. This will include sheep and cattle. There is a long history of Commoners grazing their livestock on the Forest. This continued grazing has helped shaped the Forest's landscape we see and love today.
As always, please keep dogs under close control at all times. For more information on dog walking and our Code of Conduct, visit https://ashdownforest.org/dogs/
Signage will go up in the area this week. An updated map of the current grazing enclosures and the NoFence grazing area will be available shortly. This will change through the year so please keep your eyes out for our updates here and check the website: www.ashdownforest.org/grazing
