Police were called to the property on Green Lane in Crowborough on Saturday 28 January.
The occupants of the property reported disturbing an intruder in their home, with no items stolen.
34 year old Daniel Taylor from Brighton was also charged with possession of cannabis. He's due to appear at Brighton Magistrate's Court on Monday (30 January).
