A man has been charged with committing multiple burglaries at The Grand Hotel in Brighton.
Phillip Brown, 59, of Dawson Close, London, is accused of stealing cash and jewellery worth a total of £1,250 from two different hotel rooms.
He is also accused of breaking into a third room with intent to steal, and attempting to enter a fourth room with intent to steal.
The incidents are reported to have occurred on 23 June.
The same day, Brown is accused of fraudulently using a bank card to purchase cigarettes and alcohol in Station Way, Brighton.
He has been bailed with conditions to appear before South East London Magistrates’ Court on 21 July.
