Man confirmed dead at Eastbourne cliffs

A man in his 20s was confirmed deceased on Wednesday afternoon, 4 February 2026, following an emergency search operation near the cliffs in Eastbourne.

According to Sussex Police, emergency services were called to the scene following reports of concern for the man's welfare. A subsequent search of the cliff area was conducted, and the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
