A man is due to appear in court following the stabbing of a 13-year-old boy in Eastbourne on Sunday (20 September).
Kyle Saupe, 20, of Cavendish Place, Eastbourne, has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon and remanded to court.
He is to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 22 September.
Four people - two boys aged 16 and one 17 and a woman, 22 – have been bailed with conditions while enquiries continue.
The victim, who is recovering at home, was stabbed in Grand Parade near the junctions of Elms Avenue and Cavendish Place at about 5.10pm on Sunday and a group of young people were seen leaving the scene.
Investigating officer Detective Inspector Rob Tillyer, said: "Anyone who has information, including CCTV, mobile phone or dashcam footage from that area from 4pm to 6pm, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting serial 1096 of 20/09.
"There will be an increased police presence in the area while our enquiries continue. Please speak to our officers if you have any concerns.
"We would ask people not to speculate about the circumstances while the investigation is ongoing."
