Small Business Saturday takes place on the first Saturday in December, however, it’s a year-round national movement to highlight the small businesses who make a huge difference to our communities and economy, particularly here in East Grinstead, Uckfield, and the villages.
Small Business Saturday celebrates the UK's much-loved 5.45 million small businesses and encourages the nation to show their support, particularly by spending and shopping small and local.

“On the 6th Day of December...
I’m celebrating Small Business Saturday in my constituency of East Grinstead, Uckfield, and the villages.
I had another lovely Friday night in Uckfield at the annual late night shopping event! And today is a great time to be out and about backing our local traders and producers.
Please shop local and back our small businesses and high streets. They are crucial to our local economy, and they really need all the support we can provide right now.
I bought some amazing sausage rolls for the family at Bishop the butchers - so much going on - as well as the traditional Coopers Farm BBQ with the brilliant Cllr Michael Lunn on the tongs!
Also greatly enjoyed the AMAZING Festival of Christmas Trees at Holy Cross Church.
My team are I are proud to have a tree there.”
