Today, students across EGU and the country are receiving the results they have worked towards throughout their time at school and college.
Mims wishes all students congratulations on all their results but wishes to remind students who have not received the grades they hoped for to speak to their school, college or careers adviser about all the options available.
Those who have narrowly missed their university offer should contact the university directly, as there may still be opportunities to secure a place. Students can also explore Clearing, which helps applicants find available university places.
Other options can include:
- Exploring alternative university courses or institutions through Clearing.
- Speaking to a school or college about resits or other qualifications.
- Considering an apprenticeship or higher apprenticeship.
- Looking at further education or other training opportunities.
- Taking time to consider different career or education pathways.

“🎓 A-LEVEL RESULTS DAY 🎓
I'd like to wish all students in East Grinstead, Uckfield, and the villages a huge Good Luck and Congratulations on receiving their results today.
For some students, today will bring the results they were hoping for and I wish them every success as they take their next steps, whether that is heading to university, starting an apprenticeship, entering employment, or pursuing another path.
However, if you didn't, please remember these results do not define you or your future - there are lots of options out there so please do speak to your school/college on all the options available including Btechs, Apprenticeships, Clearing, and so much more!
There is no single route to success, and I want every young person to know there are opportunities available to them. Whatever your results today, I wish you every success for the future.
