Motorcyclist injured in serious collision

A serious collision involving a car and a motorcycle occurred in Eastbourne on Tuesday, 20 January 2026, resulting in serious injuries to a 65-year-old motorcyclist.

Incident Details

• Location: Mountfield Road, near the level crossing at Hampden Park Station.
• Time: Approximately 7:45 am.
• The Collision: A grey car at the junction of Brampton Road collided with a blue motorcycle travelling eastbound as the car entered Mountfield Road.
• Casualties: The 65-year-old male motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
