Civic appointments have been updated following a recent Full Council meeting at Wealden District Council.
Liberal Democrat, Green Party and Labour councillors make up the Alliance for Wealden, which is a cross-party, co-operative group that governs the council.
As part of their agreement, council leadership alternates annually between the Liberal Democrat and Green parties.
For the 2025–2026 term, Liberal Democrat Councillor James Partridge has been appointed leader of the council, with Green Party Councillor Rachel Millward serving as deputy leader.
Additionally, Liberal Democrat Councillor Gavin Blake-Coggins has been named chair of the council, with Green Party Councillor Jessika Hulbert appointed as deputy chair.
