Sussex were unable to end their bad run of form yesterday, losing to Yorkshire by one innings and 128 runs in the County Championship, their seventh defeat in their last eight games in all competitions, with Paul Farbrace's side struggling from the off and never looking ready to mount an unlikely comeback, as they now need to reset ahead of the One Day Cup, which gets underway on Tuesday

Looking at the local cricket, Crowborough are away to a Glynde & Beddingham 2nd’s side that have won their last four on the bounce, while Uckfield Anderida welcome Bell Yew Green 3rd’s,  with Buxted Park at home to their leagues inform side Brighton & Hove.

Elsewhere, Heathfield Park will visit East Grinstead 2nd’s, as Newick travel to face Eastbourne 2nd’s, with Isfield able to make it ten wins in a row and keep their title charge going when they host Mayfield 2nd’s.

Meanwhile, Plumpton & East Chiltington are at home against bottom of the league Crawley Down, as Barcombe welcome Ifield 2nd’s, with Fletching preparing to host Robertsbridge.

Lastly in cricket, Rotherfield will visit Dicker, as Nutley play at home against Blackboys, with Hadlow Down travelling to face second from bottom Brighton & Hove 5th’s.

Over to football, Crowborough Athletic’s first competitive game of the season is taking place later today, in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round, where The Crows will travel away to face Punjab United in Kent, who sit one league below Crowborough.

Finally in the bowls, this afternoon's fixtures will see Crowborough play at home to Felbridge, with Uckfield visiting Horam in the Horam League, while tomorrow Crowborough will welcome the Isle of Thorns, as Uckfield host a Men and Women's Top Club event.
