The creative workshops are set to give the opportunity for people impacted by cancer to share their experiences as part of a community.
The project, titled "Words from the Waiting Room", aims to bring together those impacted by cancer and foster an inspiring support network for participants to share their stories. The workshops welcome any who has lived through the effects of cancer, whether that be as a patient, survivor or a supporter, offering the opportunity to come together in a supportive environment and take part in creative writing as an outlet of expression.
The first workshop is set to be held at The Friend's Meeting House in Brighton on the 25th of March from 10.30AM to 12.30PM, you can sign up using the link below.
The second session will be held at Hastings Town Hall on April the 1st at 10.30AM to 12.30PM, please use the link below to sign up.
The project has been made possible by funding from the Sussex Cancer Research Centre and the Sussex Cancer Fund. Following the workshops, the creative work of participants will be shared with the SCRC to help broaden their understanding of patient's experiences.
