The social housing showcase aims to inspire policy developers re think housing to better connect humans with nature
As a building made from entirely locally sourced materials, the Wild House offers a great example of housing existing in harmony with nature, the landscape and supporting biodiversity.
Given one in five people in the UK live in areas deprived of green space, it is more important than ever that projects such as Wild House offer a positive blueprint for policy makers and housing developers to help reconnect people with nature and limit environmental damage.
The Wild House is an evolution of the award winning Waste House situated on the University of Brighton's city campus. The house was re designed to become a pioneering 'show home' of environmentally sound architecture.
Along with locally sourced building materials, Wild House also features interactive displays including 'augmented reality experiences'.
