On 30 January 2026, Sussex Police announced the charging of two men for drug supply offences following proactive patrols in the North Laine area of Brighton.
- Individuals Charged:
- Dillano Van Der Bent, 26, of Kenilworth Close, Brighton.
- El-Hadji Lo, 39, of Tichbourne Street, Brighton.
- Incident Details:
- Activity: Officers responded to community reports of drug dealing in Over Street and Frederick Gardens.
- Arrests: Van Der Bent was stopped in Oliver Street and found with over 200 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin. Lo was arrested nearby in possession of crack cocaine.
- Seizures: A subsequent search of an address on Tichbourne Street uncovered additional quantities of both drugs.
- Charges & Court: Both men are charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
