Two men charged with ‘possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin’ following proactive patrols in East Sussex

On 30 January 2026, Sussex Police announced the charging of two men for drug supply offences following proactive patrols in the North Laine area of Brighton.

• Individuals Charged:
  • Dillano Van Der Bent, 26, of Kenilworth Close, Brighton.
  • El-Hadji Lo, 39, of Tichbourne Street, Brighton.
• Incident Details:
  • Activity: Officers responded to community reports of drug dealing in Over Street and Frederick Gardens.
  • Arrests: Van Der Bent was stopped in Oliver Street and found with over 200 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin. Lo was arrested nearby in possession of crack cocaine.
  • Seizures: A subsequent search of an address on Tichbourne Street uncovered additional quantities of both drugs.
• Charges & Court: Both men are charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
