Uplands Academy Celebrates Outstanding LAMDA Success with 100% Distinction Rate

Uplands Academy is delighted to celebrate the achievements of its LAMDA students, with all 21 students who took their examinations in July achieving the highest possible grade of Distinction.

The remarkable achievement reflects the students' hard work, dedication and courage, alongside the expert guidance and support provided by Head of Drama, Ms Whelan, who teaches LAMDA at the academy.

LAMDA (the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) examinations are taken by more than 130,000 learners each year across more than 50 countries. The qualifications help young people develop essential communication, performance and public speaking skills, equipping them with confidence and resilience that support success both within education and beyond.

At Uplands Academy, students are encouraged to take part in LAMDA examinations as a way of developing creativity, self-belief and effective communication skills. The programme provides valuable opportunities for students to challenge themselves, grow in confidence and find their voice.

Ms Whelan said:

"I am incredibly proud of every student who took their LAMDA exam this summer. Achieving a Distinction is a fantastic accomplishment, but what has impressed me most is the commitment, resilience and confidence they have developed throughout the process. Watching students grow in self-belief and find their voice is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching LAMDA, and these results are thoroughly deserved. Congratulations to all 21 students on their outstanding success."
