Two goals conceded in the 90th minute saw Lewes drop points to draw 2-2 with a visiting Billericay Town, with the result still leaving them top of the Isthmian Premier by a point, but will feel like a missed opportunity for The Rooks.

Crowborough Athletic fell to first league defeat in seven losing 1-0 against Midhurst & Ease, while AFC Uckfield Town managed a great result by beating second placed Dorking Wanderers B 4-2 leaving The Oakmen fourth in the table, as Jarvis Brook kept their hot streak going as they earned a 4-1 win against Brighton Electricity.

In the Mid Sussex Leagues, Ridgewood are through in the SCFA Intermediate Cup beating Hollington United 3-2, while Rotherfield exited the same competition on penalties, drawing 1-1 in regular time with TD Shipley, before losing the shoot out 4-1.

Back to league action, Barcombe claimed their first league win of the season as they defeated Welcroft Park Rangers 2-1, while Buxted also managed a great result by beating second in the league Ridgewood 2nd’s 1-0, as Nutley fell to a 2-0 loss away to Eastbourne Athletic.

Newick came on top in their clash with Plumpton Athletic, winning 1-0 to leave them second in these early stages of the season, while Maresfield Village beat Cuckfield Rangers 2nd’s 3-1, as Hartfield progressed in the Tester Cup by beating Ditchling 3-1.

Now to women’s football, Lewes fell to a 2-1 defeat against Billericay Town, with the result leaving them stuck firmly in mid-table, while AFC Uckfield Town were defeated 2-1 by Ringmer AFC.

In the men’s rugby, Heathfield & Waldron remained second in the table after they beat Ashford 26-15, while Crowborough suffered a heavy 54-7 defeat by Sevenoaks 2nd’s, while Uckfield earned some local bragging rights as they beat Lewes 29-10.
