In the Mid Sussex League, Uckfield United secured promotion from their division after a convincing four-nil win over one of their closest rivals Wivelsfield Green at New Barn Farm on Saturday. Barring an unlikely heavy defeat in their final match, United will be promoted as champions.
In other weekend results from the Mid Sussex League, Rotherfield were two-one winners over AFC Southwick, while Nutley won three-nil at Copthorne A.
There was agony for Lewes, who have missed out on a play-off place in the Isthmian Premier Division after taking just one point out of six over the weekend. In a dramatic match against Kingstonian on Saturday, Lewes conceded a 97th minute goal in a three-three draw. Lewes then went down to a late goal in a one-nil defeat yesterday at Bognor Regis.
