Sleeping Beauty Review - The Hawth Crawley

I was delighted go along to The Hawth in Crawley to see this years panto. The theatre was full to bursting with eager faces of all ages. They weren’t to be disappointed either as Evolution Productions once again provided a non-stop evening of fun, laughs and surprises.

This year’s panto is Sleeping Beauty. West End star Carrie Hope Fletcher takes the role of the evil Carrabosse. Carrie is of course no stranger to the stage having been in the West End stage for many years, most recently playing the lead role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most recent musical Cinderalla. Here she stars along her long-time friend Scott Paige, who is making his pantomime debut as The Good Spirit Moonbeam.

Pantomime legend Michael J Batchelor returns to the Hawth as Dame Nurse Nellie, which this year marks his tenth anniversary at Crawley. His fantastic costumes and effortless delivery of his lines has the audience in stitches.

Nurse Nellie’s sidekick Jangles is played by Cbeebies presenter Andy Day.

The show is full of jokes, hilarious slapstick scenes and crazy pantomime capers and is a must watch this festive season!
