A ‘shocking’ 63 people have been arrested in the first week of Sussex Police’s Christmas crackdown on drink and drug-drivers.
Sussex Police confirmed that 22 people had been charged during the first seven days of the initiative.
A spokesperson said: “A shocking 63 people have been arrested in the first week of our Christmas crackdown on drink and drug-drivers. Of these, 22 have been charged.
“We’re extremely disappointed that so many people continue to risk the lives of themselves and others by making the conscious decision to drive under the influence.
