Sussex secured a vital victory late last night after a nail biting finish, beating Lancashire by a single wicket in the One Day Cup, with Tom Alsop and Tom Haines leading the side, setting the Shark’s new record partnership in List A Cricket, but Paul Farbrace's side struggled after their departure, before a late renaissance saw them enter the final over level on points, with Sean Hunt stepping up to secure the win.
In local cricket, Crowborough will be aiming for a return to winning ways when they host Bexhill 2nd’s, with Uckfield Anderida welcoming Tunbridge Wells 4th’s, while Buxted Park travel to face Mayfield.
Elsewhere, Heathfield Park are at home to an out of form Portslade, with Isfield playing at home against Newick, needing a win to keep their title charge going, while Fletching travel away to Bell Yew Green.
Meanwhile, Plumpton & East Chiltington are at home to Brighton & Hove 3rd’s, with Barcombe visiting second from bottom St Andrew, as Rotherfield prepare to welcome Robertsbridge 2nd’s.
