In football, Eastbourne Borough secured three points on the road as they beat Enfield 2-1 as they reduce their gap from safety down to a single point.
Elsewhere, Lewes continued their unbeaten start since the return of Craig Nelson as they drew 1-1 with Cray Valley, with Charlie Walker rescuing a point for The Rooks in the 78th minute.
In the Mid Sussex League, Rotherfield were held to a 2-2 draw with Shoreham 2nd’s, while Ridgewood progressed in the Mid Sussex Junior Charity Cup by beating Cuckfield Rangers Development 4-2, as Buxted saw their clash with TD Shipley 3rd’s called off.
Meanwhile, Barcombe kept their good form going with a controlled 4-0 victory against Rotherfield 2nd’s to remain top of their league, as Nutley came out on top in their clash with Newick, winning 4-2 to move into second.
Lastly in the men’s, Maresfield Village beat Hartfield in an entertaining 5-3 clash to claim their second league win of the season.
Finally in women’s football, Lewes came unstuck against Cheltenham Town, losing 2-1 after being unable to capitalise on a stronger second half performance, while Eastbourne Borough maintained their perfect league record by beating Bexhill 4-1.
