Eastbourne Airbourne set to soar again in 2027

Airbourne: Eastbourne International Airshow is set to soar again, returning 12 – 15 August 2027 with a spectacular programme of flying displays and family entertainment.

The UK’s biggest free airshow will be back for a 33rd year after income from sponsorship, donations and commercial sales enabled the 2026 event to meet its cost-neutral target, paving the way for the show’s return.

The announcement follows the success of this year’s show, which saw back-to-back military displays, precision aerobatics, historic warbirds, and a number of debut aerobatic teams filling the skies above the Sussex coast.

Attracting hundreds of thousands of spectators each year, Airbourne provides a huge boost to the local and regional economy, generating millions in visitor spending, raising the profile of the town and supporting the UK staycation market.

However, each year the free event requires considerable financial support from businesses and airshow visitors to offset the cost of flying displays and temporary infrastructure.

Eastbourne Borough Council’s Lead Member for Tourism & Place, Cllr Jenny Williams, said: “Airbourne isn’t just a highlight in Eastbourne’s events calendar, it is the biggest free event of its kind and an important asset for UK tourism. We look forward to bringing our residents and visitors back together once again for an unforgettable celebration of aviation along our iconic seafront.

“Staging a major free event on this scale depends on the commitment of our partners, sponsors, volunteers and supporters. We are enormously grateful for their continued backing and look forward to sharing more details about the 2027 show soon.

“In the meantime, please do get in touch if you can support the 2027 show and help keep it flying for future years. The more donations and sponsorship we generate in advance, the bigger the spectacle we can create in the sky!”

Fans can support Airbourne now with a one-off donation at SaveAirbourne.com or alternatively, become an Airbourne Ambassador and support the show all year round by pledging just £2 a month. All Ambassadors receive their own pin badge to collect at the show.

Businesses can book sponsorship and advertising now at 2026 rates for a limited time – email EastbourneEvents@lewes-eastbourne.gov.uk. Sponsorship packages, hospitality and seating for 2027 will be announced soon.
