Eastbourne man wanted after failing to appear at Lewes court

Sussex Police are looking for a man after he failed to appear at court

Michael Kavanagh, 38, failed to appear for sentencing at Lewes Crown Court back in August. 

The former Battle resident had previously pleaded guilty to deceiving a vulnerable man into spending money on a fraudulent investment scheme that did not really exist.

Kavanagh is described as six foot tall, of athletic build and with dark hair.

It is believed he has links to Eastbourne.

Eastbourne Police said: "Have you seen Michael Kavanagh?

"The 38-year-old is wanted for failing to appear for sentencing at Lewes Crown Court on August 6 this year, after pleading guilty to deceiving a vulnerable man into investing in a fraudulent investment scheme that did not exist.

Police said that anyone with information or knowledge of Kavanagh's whereabouts should contact them.

If you see him, do not approach him, but call 101 and quote serial 1143 of 1/11/21, they advised.
