The Sussex Sharks exited the T20 Blast by the narrowest of margins last night, losing by seven runs to Surrey in Hove, with the home side being set a target of 205 for victory and looked well placed to progress, especially after a team leading 75 runs from Daniel Hughes, before Paul Farbrace’s side collapsed at the death, after needing just 13 runs from the final over, to ultimately finish sixth in the South.

 

In local cricket, Crowborough travel to face a St Peter’s 3rd’s side they trail by nine points in the table, while Uckfield Anderida are away to Buxted Park 3rd’s, with Buxted Park’s 1st’s hosting third-placed St James Montefiore.

 

Elsewhere, Heathfield Park are visiting Bexhill, as Newick look to host Ringmer, while Isfield can make it eight wins in a row to maintain their title charge when they play at home against bottom of the league Hailsham 2nd’s.

 

Meanwhile, Plumpton & East Chiltington are away to Hurstpierpoint, with Barcombe welcoming Edenbridge, as Fletching prepare to host a St Peters 2nd’s side that currently find themselves third in the standings.

 

Lastly in cricket, Rotherfield can build on their strong result last weekend when they visit Hellingly, as Blackboys travel to face an inform Heathfield Park 2nd’s, while Nutley host league leading Herstmonceux 2nd’s, with Hadlow Down at home against Henfield 3rd’s.

 

Now to football, where Crowborough Athletic host Rusthall in their next pre-season matchup, while AFC Uckfield Town are set to play away against the Cuckfield Rangers.

 

Finally in the bowls, today's fixtures sees Crowborough visit Hailsham in their first of two Horam League fixtures this weekend, with Uckfield away against Burgess Hill, while tomorrow Crowborough will travel to face Wadhurst, as Uckfield play at home against Newick.
