An 89-year-old man remains in hospital with significant injuries following a serious collision in Brighton, East Sussex, that occurred on 23 January 2026.

- Location: London Road, Brighton, just south of the Carden Avenue mini roundabout.
- Time: Between approximately 4:15 pm and 4:45 pm.
- Circumstances: The 89-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car. The vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene.
