Locals have expressed sadness at the news that Poundland in Hailsham is to close it's doors.
It is situated at Units 3-6 at The Quintins Shopping Centre on Hailsham High Street.
Customers have taken to social media to express their disappointment, with one stating that they have been informed by the manager that the last day of trading will be on Wednesday 29th October.
Another stated that the recent refurbishment was a waste of money.
Nationally, the budget High Street retailer has announced many closures in its bid to return to business growth. Hailsham was not thought to be on the original list of potential closures.
