Chart-topping British band Toploader are set to return to Eastbourne for a special Bank Holiday concert at the town’s historic Bandstand.
The popular band will perform at the iconic seafront venue on Monday 25 May, with music starting at 1.30pm with support from DJ Fergus, before Toploader take to the stage.
Best known for their international smash hit Dancing in the Moonlight, Toploader have enjoyed more than two decades of success, selling more than two million albums worldwide and building a reputation for uplifting live performances.
Dan Hipgrave, lead guitarist from Toploader said: “Eastbourne has always been a special place for us and it’s where we first started building a real following. Coming back to play the Bandstand feels like a proper homecoming and we can’t wait to perform by the sea again.”
Councillor Jenny Williams, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Place at Eastbourne Borough Council, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Toploader back to the Bandstand for a special Bank Holiday performance. Their feel-good hits are perfect for a seafront crowd and their return to Eastbourne, where it all began for them on the south coast, makes this an especially exciting homecoming. With DJ Fergus kicking things off, it promises to be a fantastic afternoon of music for residents and visitors alike.”
Located on Eastbourne’s seafront, the historic Bandstand has been entertaining audiences since the 1930s and hosts a packed programme of live music and events throughout the season.
General sale tickets will be available from 10am on Monday 23 March and are expected to sell out quickly. Fans can get priority access to the ticket link from 9am by signing up to the venue’s newsletter at: www.eastbournebandstand.co.uk
