AFC Uckfield Town face a stern test on Saturday, as they entertain league leaders Crawley Down Gatwick. Kick-off has has been brought forward to 2pm. Also in the SCFL, Crowborough Athletic go in search of a fourth straight win when they host Lingfield.
In the Mid Sussex League, Ridgewood visit Oxted and District, Fletching are at home to Portslade Athletic and Newick are at home to Burgess Hill Rhinos. There are also home games for Barcombe against Lectern Lights and for Hartfield who face Oxted and District’s ‘A’ team.
In cup fixtures, Jarvis Brook host Ditchling, Rotherfield are at home to Barnham Trojans, while Nutley have a home clash against Southgate United.
There are away games this week for Maresfield and Plumpton.
In the Isthmian Premier Division, Lewes will be looking to continue their recent run of good form, as they host second-from-bottom Brightlingsea Regent.
In women’s football, Lewes’s ladies visit Charlton, while Brighton’s ladies team entertain Arsenal at Crawley Town’s ground – both these matches are on Sunday. In local rugby, Uckfield play their first home match of the New Year, as they take on Crawley at Hempstead Fields tomorrow. Crowborough are also at home – they face Bromley.
