Both Crowborough Athletic and AFC Uckfield Town revert to Southern Combination League action tomorrow after mixed fortunes in cup matches in midweek.
Crowborough, who beat Peacehaven and Telscombe two-nil to reach the final of the Peter Bentley League Cup, visit AFC Varndeanians. Uckfield, who lost five-nil to Broadbridge Heath in the RUR Charity Cup, host third-from-bottom Saltdean United. Also in the Southern Combination League, title-chasing Jarvis Brook travel to Bosham.
In the Mid Sussex League, Rotherfield go to Reigate Priory. Barcombe entertain neighbours Fletching, while Newick are at home to Burgess Hill Rhinos and Plumpton host AFC Ringmer’s fourth team. And there are also away fixtures this week for Nutley and Hartfield. Elsewhere, in a cup match, Ridgewood visit Crawley Devils.
Play-off hopefuls Lewes will be looking to bounce back from their home defeat in midweek, as they entertain Potters Bar in the Isthmian Premier Division.
Lewes’s ladies team travel to Sheffield United on Sunday, while Brighton’s ladies are also on the road on Sunday – they go to Reading.
Iin local rugby, Uckfield welcome Hastings and Bexhill to Hempstead Fields tomorrow afternoon in the Sussex Cup. Kick-off is at 2 pm.
