Sussex started strongly against Glamorgan in the County Championship yesterday

In the local leagues, and Uckfield Anderida will be aiming to carry on from last weekend's win against Crowborough on Saturday, as they host a Laughton still looking to play their first game of the season.

Crowborough themselves will be hoping to bounce back from that defeat with a good result against the visiting Linden Park’s 3rd XI, with Buxted Park at home to St James's Montefiore.

Isfield will be away to Portslade, Plumpton & East Chiltington are against Haywards Heath's 2nd XI, and Barcombe are also away from home, against Chiddingly.

Fletching will be hoping to bounce back from a heavy opening week defeat as they host East Dean & Friston, Newick are at home to Heathfield Park, and Rotherfield are away to Hailsham’s 3rd XI.

In cricket, Nutley are away to Heathfield Park's 2nd XI and Blackboys are travelling to face Tunbridge Wells 4th XI.

Onto the football now, and Brighton’s Women’s team are in action this weekend, as they travel up to midtable Everton on Sunday, knowing that just a point will confirm their place in the WSL next season.
