Sussex Cricket have announced that Fred Bridges and Liam O’Brien have been called up to represent England’s Physically Disabled Squad for their upcoming fixtures against Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan, with the opening fixture seeing England face Sri Lanka on the 12th of January.
In football now, and It’s an important match for Lewes this weekend, as they travel away to the team directly above them in Wingate & Finchley, with The Rooks currently one point away from the last playoff spot as they currently sit in seventh.
Elsewhere, fifth placed Crowborough Athletic travel away to face sixth in the league Bexhill United, with just a point separating the two sides, while AFC Uckfield Town hope to play their first match in over a month when they visit Alford.
In the Mid Sussex Leagues, two sides are still in action, with Rotherfield at home against midtable Tunbridge Wells 2nd’s, while Ridgewood visit fourth placed Balcombe.
And finally in the men’s rugby now, where Heathfield & Waldron play at home against Crowborough in their final fixtures of the year, with the sides sitting fourth and sixth in the league respectively.
