Weekend Sporting Preview

In the weekend’s local cricket, Uckfield Anderida’s first eleven are without a fixture tomorrow.

Crowborough are in action, as they visit Buxted Park’s second team. Buxted Park’s first team will be looking for a third straight win, as they visit Preston Nomads’ second team.

Isfield will be aiming to maintain their 100 per cent record, as they host Herstmonceux, while Newick entertain Pett.

There are also home games this week for Plumpton and East Chiltington, Nutley and Blackboys.

The Sussex Sharks’ T20 Blast campaign got off to a disappointing start last night with a seven-wicket defeat by Glamorgan at Hove.  The Sharks are back in action this evening, when they head to Bristol to take on Gloucestershire, before returning to Hove on Sunday afternoon to face local rivals Kent.     

Among the weekend’s bowls action, Uckfield are at home to Groombridge on Sunday afternoon in the Horam League.
